“And I will sprinkle clean water upon you, and you shall be clean; from all your uncleannesses, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you. A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you; and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh. And I will put My Ru’akh within you, and [I WILL] cause you to walk in My statutes, and you shall keep My ordinances, and do them. And you shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; and you shall be My people, and I will be your Elohim.”
The New Heart passage is often quoted by many believers. But few really take it in context, and fewer still understand what it really means to have a new heart, in which the very Breath and Presence of G-d can dwell, through Yeshua HaMashi’akh.
I’m trying to be brief.
Yekhezkel is speaking to Yisra’el concerning the LAST of the last days, when Messiah will gather the Jewish people, known as Yisra’el, into the land. Many think that is what is happening now, even though most Jews still live outside the land of Yisra’el. No. It will happen when Yeshua returns. He is speaking to the Jewish people, all twelve tribes gathered together under Melekh Yehudah. This has not happened yet.
Sha’ul foretells this day also, saying that “One day, ALL of Yisra’el will be ‘saved’. That is what Yekhezkel is defining in the passage above: Salvation. [Ez 36:25-28] Salvation begins with repentance, which is biblically defined as TURNING away from sin. Sin is defined as not meeting the righteousness of the Torah. To turn to Yeshua and have Him impart His Torah-perfection to us is SALVATION, and He DOES CAUSE us then to follow His Mitzvot! By HIS power! And that is ALL of His Mitzvot.
He is NOT going to make the Jewish people “walk in His statutes,” and “keep His ordinances, and do them,” when He returns, to have Gentiles flout them for 2,000 years. No, only those who truly have His Ru’akh and obey HIS Word [NOT the Rabbis, Popes, Pastors, etc] who actually do what G-d says are going to rule with Him.
Yesha-Yahu similarly writes: [Is 2:1-4]
HaDavar [The Word] that Yesha-Yahu Ben Amotz saw concerning Yehudah and Yerushalayim. “And it shall come to pass in the Akharit HaYamim [Last Days], that the mountain of Beit יהוה shall be established as the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it. And many peoples shall go and say, ‘Come, and let us go up to Har [Mount of] יהוה , to Beit Elohei Ya’akov; and He will teach us of His ways, and we will walk in His paths.” For out of Tzion shall go forth the Torah, and the D’var יהוה from Yerushalayim. And He shall judge between the nations, and shall decide for many peoples; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks; nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.”
Clearly, O believer, this passage is about Messiah Yeshua.
Clearly, O believer, this passage has yet to happen.
Clearly, O believer, this shows that ALL PEOPLE will learn HIS TORAH! His Ways. His Paths. His ordinances. His statutes.
And by this SHALOM will be established, and there will be no more fighting among humans.
The reason there are so many denominations and such hostility between even those who say they believe, is because MOST of those who say they believe REFUSE to follow HIM, and HIS WORD, even though they think they do, and say they do, with vim and vigor!
Again, these passages are concerning LAST DAYS, the establishment of the Kingdom of Yeshua ON EARTH. And in BOTH passages, HIS TORAH, HIS MITZVOT, the guiding principles of His Kingdom, WILL BE THE LAW OF THE EARTH!
Those who NOW follow HIS WORD can HEAR HIS Ru’akh speaking to them to DO what HE SAYS to do.
This is true repentance. Returning to the ANCIENT PATHS. Yisra’el refused, and was cut off. If gentiles refuse, they too will be ‘cut off,’ AFTER having been grafted in! “Be not high-minded, but fear! For if Elohim did not spare the natural branches, beware, or He will not spare you! Consider therefore the goodness and severity of Elohim: on those who fell, severity; but on you, goodness, if you continue in His goodness; otherwise you also will be cut off!” [Rom 11]
His goodness is walking His Torah by His Power. That is the very definition of what it means to have His Ru’akh HaKodesh [holy spirit] given to us.
And I will put My Ru’akh within you, and [I WILL] cause you to walk in My statutes, and you shall keep My ordinances, and do them.”
Join us at Pesakh and gain that power, through humble submission to His Word!
