What a great weekend…
The purpose of this blog really is to try to encourage people to see truth.
The best manifestation of truth in humanity is fruit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, self control…. The Torah does not speak against these things…
I wish I could take the ‘fruits’ that I see in our congregants, that I enjoyed this weekend, and share them with the whole world.
It started at Purim on Erev Shabbat. There are many in the believing world, especially among Messianics, that have begun to dismiss the book of Esther, say it’s not divine, etc, and condemn those of us who simply want to teach the book, just because some Jews tend to go wild with Purim, and because “Esther” is so closely associated with ‘Easter.’ But, what I see, is that Hadasah, her actual name, was hidden from the world by and because of the pagan culture in which she was trapped against her will, herself having been born in the ‘captivity’ of paganism, until “Such a time as this.” What ‘time’ was that? The time of Jacob’s trouble! The time when being a Yehudi[t] was DANGEROUS. When Amalek again reared his ugly head! That day is upon us all again! And it is for ‘such a time as this’ that Messiah is causing His Bride to reveal herself to the world in TRUTH… to come out from under the cloak of Ishtar [easter], and to reveal her Jewishness… TO SAVE JEWS! AND GENTILES WHO JOIN THEMSELVES TO JEWS!! Yeshua IS Jewish. NOT ‘was.’ IS. [ See the ninth chapter]. And our congregants were jubilant. Not simply to dress up, but to ‘see’ SALVATION, to celebrate it, and see BOTH sides of the ministry of Yeshua, so clearly depicted in the Megillah.
Then, we had a powerful Shabbat service. Abba ministered, reaching down into peoples’ hearts. And then, we all gathered AGAIN to say farewell to the Sabbath together…to love each other with joy and shalom. To sing and dance before Messiah and with each other…. To share life…. To pray for our congregation…. My wife and I both were overwhelmed in silent moments when we had time just to ‘observe’ what our Creator is doing in this tiny group of people. We are so fortunate to be able to witness HIM taking two rednecks and making a fellowship that is truly one born of love and devotion to Messiah Yeshua, and NOTHING ELSE. No money, no glory for man, no selfish endeavors, no pride… FAMILY. ONENESS. BROTHERHOOD.
Those who have left us in their fits of anger and pride, I pity them. They do not know what they are missing. Those who have ‘faded away,’ I miss them, and wish they would partake of the ‘sap’, of the richness of His compassion that is growing in these hearts. We are by no means perfect. And we do not pretend to be. I, and most of us, are bent NOT to put on airs and put up a false front of self-righteousness, pretending to be lily white in this earth: we are PEOPLE. Imperfect; seeing each other’s flaws. Offending each other at times. But always praying for each other. Forgiving each other. Knowing we are perfected before His throne by the blood of our ONE Messiah! In spite of our imperfections, which we are not afraid to admit exist.
I truly wish more people could understand what is going on at Bat-Tzion. And appreciate HIS work in us. Too many simply dismiss us, deride us, belittle us… but ABBA…. He is indeed our DADDY. And He is binding these children together in HIS COMPASSION.
If you’re in the Houston area, join us. Especially if you used to be a part of us.
If you’re distant, join us online. If you want a fellowship of this kind, DO THE WORK. And we can make your work easier, by sharing our experiences, and our resources, spiritually as well as in the natural. Messiah truly is bringing His Bride, His Hadasah, out in the open, dangerously, for the salvation of the world.
